Skip toothed fret saw blades. These blades have a little extra space between their teeth, which makes them clear sawdust and other sticky things better than standard blades.

Knew Concepts fret saws ship with the #7 skip toothed blades pre-installed. Those are the blades we recommend for general dovetail work. But these blades can do so much more: they're great for cutting jewelers wax, and plastics, especially lexan for matrix dies. Which is why we have the smaller sizes. They enable tighter turns and more detail.

One Dozen Pégas Reverse Skip Tooth Fret Saw Blades

These skip toothed blades have the same wide gullets as the normal skip toothed blades, but the bottom inch of the blade has the teeth reversed, so they cut on the up stroke. This reduces tearout on delicate woods. It's most effective on woods thicker than 1/2", and absolutely great in a scroll saw.

One Dozen Pégas Super Skip Tooth Fret Saw Blades

These are fret saw blades with extra wide gaps between the teeth for clearing sawdust out of really thick stock, or exceptionally gummy woods. They are also very good for the plastics and waxes jewelers use. The extra wide tooth spacing means they are not the ideal choice for thinner material, but great for thicker things.

One Dozen Pégas Progressive Pitch Fret Saw Blades

These are the latest thing in 'new and improved' blades. They have tooth spacing that changes over the run of the blade, with finer teeth at either end, and nice coarse teeth in the middle. This lets you get started using the finer teeth at the ends, and do the majority of your cutting with the middle, for improved speed and control.

The coping saw comes with one 18TPI coping saw blade. Made in Switzerland, these are simply the best blade available. The teeth are machine filed, rather than punched, resulting in a sharper edge.
